Testimonials

Peter has done several small and large projects for my old Victorian home on Grove Street. He’s always incredibly professional and accommodating. I know I can trust him to work diligently even when I’m away on vacation.

People have been complimenting my bathroom nonstop since Peter remodeled it three years ago. Everything’s still got that new sheen and the tilework is just awesome.
— OMAR NIEVES
I’ve been hiring the Sweeneys since I first moved into my house over 70 years ago. They did my kitchen cabinets, fixed my drains, and even rewired the lights in my bedroom into a single switch! There’s nothing the Sweeney’s can’t do.
— ARASH TOUSI
I had this toilet that always had a problem. Either it was a leak or a plug. It was always giving me a headache. I’d hired other plumbers in the neighborhood, but problems would always come back. Since Peter worked on it last year, it’s been working perfectly. I’m so grateful!

BEHIND THE NAME

When thinking about what name I wanted to give my clinic, I took to prayer and brainstorming for some time. The name needed to accurately encapsulate my approach to physical therapy. After much discernment, I settled on the word “refuge” inspired by Psalm 46 that says “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” I am a Christ follower and have always trusted that He is our shelter, especially during times of distress in our lives.

It is evident that when patients come to physical therapy they typically seek treatment for one or all of the following reasons — they are in pain, they are discouraged, and they are seeking guidance to heal, so that they can reach their goals of returning to the normal lifestyle they desire. I want patients to find a place of shelter in Refuge Physiotherapy. I want them to bring their troubles in and allow us to work on growing stronger, more confident, and independent together, so they return to their lives better than before. Patients will be taken seriously, listened to, heard, and guided throughout physical therapy treatment. If you are looking for somewhere you can be yourself, have fun, work hard, get better, and improve your lifestyle, Refuge welcomes you home!
