FEE FOR SERVICE MODEL

Refuge Physiotherapy was founded in order to better serve the population. We want to keep you as the priority and provide the most valuable care that caters specifically to you. We are able to do this because we don’t accept insurance. Although there are exceptions, majority of the time there are too many restrictions and limitations with insurance companies that don’t allow the patient to truly get the most out of their physical therapy experience.

This model allows us to treat one-on-one without distractions and to be able to focus solely on you and your goals. With more time and attention, this also allows you to get more out of your physical therapy treatments every time you come. Essentially, this enables you to improve more quickly and not have to go to physical therapy for months on end with the traditional model of 2-3 times per week. We have the freedom and flexibility to make you feel valued and get the most out of your physical therapy care.

You will be provided with exceptional, hands-on, one-on-one treatment from a Doctor of Physical Therapy. You will have the same therapist every session. We believe this consistency with patient care is vital to the success and outcomes of our treatment and relationships formed with our patients.

  • Things to Consider:

    • You don’t have a copay at Refuge Physiotherapy.

    • You can potentially save money.

    • You don’t have to deal with your high insurance deductibles.

    • Check into your in-network vs out-of-network benefits.

    • You can potentially get reimbursed by receiving Superbills from Refuge Physiotherapy and submitting them to your insurance.

    • You can use your Health Savings Account and/or Flexible Spending Account funds for physical therapy.

    • Consider all the costs, and ask questions at in-network clinics and at Refuge Physiotherapy!

    • If you want to go to an in-network clinic due to having great insurance and want to receive quality care, Refuge Physiotherapy can help navigate that process and give you referrals/suggestions.

    • You invest in what you value!

    • Make the decision based off of what you feel is best for you!
