  1. DO I NEED A PHYSICIAN REFERRAL?

    • No, you do not need a referral! Colorado is a “direct access” state. This means you do not need a physician referral to see a licensed physical therapist. The only exception would be if your insurance requires one for out-of-network reimbursement. The physical therapist will refer you to a physician if she feels it is necessary after the initial evaluation.

  2. DO YOU TAKE MY INSURANCE?

    • Refuge Physiotherapy is a fee-for-service clinic, meaning we do not bill your insurance. We want to put you first and to best do that, we don’t deal with insurance companies. There are usually many restrictions and limitations we face with insurance. With our cash-pay model, we get to cater to you on your terms and this allows you to get the most out of your physical therapy treatment.  Click here to read more about this.

  3. HOW DO I SUBMIT FOR REIMBURSEMENT?

    • Contact your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network benefits and learn of any requirements you need before starting PT. Then, you can receive a Superbill upon request to submit to them. Click here for a list of questions to ask your insurance company.

  4. WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?

    • We accept checks, cash, Venmo, debit/credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards!
